We’d love for you to visit our communities at St John’s Cranbourne and Christ Church Tooradin. Each of our gatherings are attended by a wide range of people, and you’re welcome to attend any one of them.
Sunday 8:30am St John’s
9am is a community of people from different professions and backgrounds who come together to live for God’s glory, be encouraged in faith and respond to God’s grace in Jesus Christ. 9am is a traditional Anglican prayer book service with hymns, and we remember Jesus’ death and resurrection each week as we celebrate communion together. Whether you’re just trying to find out a little more about who Jesus is, or looking for a new church home we would love you to join us at our Sunday meeting.
What to expect
- A warm, welcoming atmosphere
- Friendly people
- A thought-provoking message taught from the Bible
- Hymns
- Communion every week
- We usually finish by around ten past ten
There’s no kids ministry offered at 9am, we invite you to check out our 10:30am service for these ministries
Sunday 10:30am St John’s
Given the COVID-19 limitations, we’re needing to split the 10:30am service into a 10:30am service and a 6pm service. The 10:30am/6pm families gathering is a community of people from every age and stage and many different nationalities who come together to live for God’s glory, be encouraged in faith and respond to God’s grace in Jesus Christ. It’s a little more relaxed in its feel, though we do celebrate communion each week. We run kids programs for junior primary (foundation to year 2) and senior primary kids (year 3 to year 6) during the 10:30am service.
What to expect
- When you arrive you’ll be greeted at the door and given a welcome sheet which includes a brief snippet on the theme we’re focussing on for the day, and news on events in the church
- We start with a song or two, and then some special input for the kids before they go off to their learning programs
- A thought-provoking message taught from the Bible
The rest of our time together includes
- Bible readings
- A talk from the bible
- Time spent in prayer
- Communion (remembering Jesus’ death on the cross for us through sharing bread and wine as symbols of Jesus body broken for us and his blood shed for us)
- And time afterwards an opportunity to get to know people over morning tea.
At the heart of our time together is a great thankfulness to God for his grace to us in Jesus Christ, and a desire to know God better and love Him more through our life as a community and through His living words to us in the bible.
We’d love to meet you – please do come!
