Dear church family,
Do you want to be great? After more than six months of varying restrictions here in Melbourne and months of looking at the four walls of your house, has life begun to feel small? We all have a sense that we are made for something bigger, that we are all made for some kind of greatness. In our gospel reading on Sunday we hear two of Jesus’ disciples ask for greatness. Jesus tells them how – but his advice is suprising!

Parish Council
Your Parish Council met on Tuesday and made some very significant decisions for the future of our parish, three of the most significant being:
- We set our Annual Meeting for 11am on the 29th of November, and will be (law permitting), a mix of in person and online. More details will come together with the formal notice and nomination papers early this week;
- We approved seeking to put on a new assistant minister next year. How can we even think of doing this in the current climate? We have some savings and the diocese is putting up a significant amount of the costs. You’ll hear more about this in the next month or two; and
- we formally adopted the Vision and Mission Statement with some minor amendments in response to your feedback. We will be formally launching this towards the end of January.
These last two decisions will have a large impact on our life together and ministry in the next few years, so please be praying that God would use both to grow his kingdom, so that He might be Glorified, we all might Grow in maturity in Christ, and that we would as a church Go more and more to tell out the good news in the power of the Holy Spirit.
